Dermavisu
Dermavisu in a glance
Dermavisu has a lot of claims attached to it. Outrageous claims that seem the stuff of fairy tales.
It’s also expensive.
This seems a double whammy. Two reasons to be skeptical, right?
But people are talking about Dermavisu. Love it or hate it, speculation is rampant–and it’s been featured on popular news stations, in top magazines and on Oprah.
And here’s the thing…MOST PEOPLE LOVE IT. I trolled around for testimonials outside of the official site and found them. Loads of them. And the majority of them are overwhelmingly positive.
- Product Focus: anti-aging serum
- Product Cost: Dermavisu is regularly $249 a bottle but right now you can buy two for this price. That’s $125 each
- Target Age Range: forty+
- Target Skin Type: maturing
- Consistency: lightweight serum
- Scent: light and pleasant
- Packaging: pink and white bottle
- Overall appeal: overwhelmingly positive consumer response
- Overall product: expensive but works
What is Dermavisu?
Dermavisu is a lightweight serum you apply to your face morning and night, allowing to dry before adding your regular moisturizer.
It’s mineral oil-free (mineral oil being an ingredient that actually prevents other ingredients that could penetrate the epidermis from doing so, and one that is derived from crude oil–which is frankly GROSS.) It also contains no parabens like methylparaben and propylparaben which are cheap preservatives rampant in most anti-aging products on the market, and that cause allergic reactions in many users.
But what mainly makes Dermavisu different from many over-priced anti-aging products is its ability to actually penetrate below surface level to where it counts. Products that ’sit’ on the skin do nothing at all. You need to get deep down into the epidermis to repair damage.
Let’s look at the ingredients and how Dermavisu manages to do this…
How does Dermavisu work?
Dermavisu contains the following quality ingredients:
- Hydronium 55: this is a patented formula consisting of water rich in hydrogen ions. It neutralizes free radicals that cause aging at a cellular level. It does this by helping skin cells protect themselves and increase production of minerals, electrolytes and vitamins. Contains Hyaluronic acid which is clinically proven to plump skin, heal tissue and improve elasticity.
- Snap-8:an anti-wrinkle octapeptide, Snap-8 is a form of clinically proven Argireline, shown to reduce wrinkle depth (particularly in ‘expression’ areas such as laughter lines around the eyes and mouth and in the forehead) as well as famous Botulinum Toxin (Botox)–without the harsh side effects.
- SYN®-COLL: a synthetic peptide that stimulates the skin’s natural ability to produce more collagen. Collagen plumps the skin leading to a more youthful look, and natural collagen production decreases as we age. Applying collagen topically is useless.
- DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol): a clinically proven ingredient that firms sagging skin. It’s job is two-fold. First it increases water retention in connective skin tissue causing surface skin to tighten. Second it enhances the skin’s ability to transmit the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which signals nerves to relay the message to muscles to tighten in the skin. DMAE is proven and it works.
- Frankincense:rejunenates aging skin and treats sore, wounds and skin inflammation.
- Jojoba:Jojoba structure is close to that of sebum in human skin. Because of this the skin naturally and easily absorbs it without clogging or upsetting skin balance. Tests done by Christensen and Packman found that jojoba increased skin’s suppleness, and smoothes and softens skin.
Five out of six have CLINICAL BACKING as top-rated anti-wrinkle ingredients.
The ingredients don’t lie ladies. Dermavisu is expensive–BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
See what customers are saying about Dermavisu
“A few weeks ago I purchased a bottle of Dermavisu and I can see a difference in my skin tone, firmness, and my slight wrinkles are slowly disappearing. I use this treatment with monthly microdermabrasions and my skin looks wonderful. I would totally recommend the Dermavisu.” Karen
“I tried it, and it works! I will be 70 years-old next week. I use it on the horizontal lines on my forehead, on my crow’s feet, on the little creases around my lips, and especially on my between-the-eyes wrinkles. Those lines are almost invisible, the crow’s feet are much less noticeable. It’s not just appearance–by touch I can tell that most of my wrinkles are not as deep as they were a week ago.” Patty Mac

Should you buy Dermavisu?
Even though Dermavisu is expensive, based on the ingredients and consumer testimonials, I am going to have to go with a resounding YES. I am a firm believer that expensive is not necessarily cohesive with effective, but saying that, I’ve wasted a lot of money over the years on cheaper products that have simply sat on my skin and done nothing to improve it. In fact, many have created problems with my skin because they’ve blocked pores and caused irritation.
Every once in a while you find a product that’s worth the money–be it an Italian leather purse, the cosmetics you have to visit a certain department across town to buy, or a skin care item that’s worth its weight in gold.
Dermavisu is that product.
